The AI journey begins

February 15, 2025. He said it out loud, on camera, before there was a single piece of evidence to back it up. He needed to get in the AI game. The biggest opportunity of his entire lifetime. The greatest equalizer.

Then he did the least glamorous thing available to him. He opened the archive.

Twenty years of standard operating procedures. Playbooks, scripts, checklists, escalation paths, the exact wording for the exact situation. Thousands of pages, all of it written for employees who read the first paragraph and guessed at the rest. Every one of those documents had been a small private heartbreak. He wrote them because he knew precisely how the work should be done. Nobody read them. The work came back wrong anyway.

He fed all of it to the machine. Every SOP. Every playbook. Every hard-won rule he had never once managed to transfer into another human head.

The machine read every word. Then it did the work the way he would have done it. Not approximately. The way he would have.

The clients noticed before he did. What came back was the sentence two decades of managing people had never produced. This finally sounds like us. Not close enough for a first draft. Us.

That was the reframe, and it landed inside a single afternoon. His whole life the feedback had been identical. Too much. Too detailed, too intense, too many words about too many things. Every team, every job, every room had asked him to turn it down.

The machine asked for more. It did not call him too much. It called him context — and it treated context like fuel. Twenty years of over-documenting stopped being a character flaw and became the unfair advantage. Same man, same archive, same obsession. The only thing that changed was finding something big enough to hold it.
